Teacher of Piano

I have been teaching piano and accompanying for the last 25 years. Teachers such as Nancy Salas imparted a knowledge of, and love of teaching. I am comfortable with, and have had a wide range of experience teaching students of all ages and standards.

These days, older teens and adults returning to the piano, are becoming a speciality. I have given individual lessons in primary and secondary schools for over 15 years . My teaching to younger students emphasizes developing and strengthening sight - reading skills.

There are opportunities for students to play in an informal supportive environment throughout the year. Exams are optional. I have assisted many prepare for AMEB (regular and Piano for Leisure). I am happy to assist adults play classical and/or contemporary music.

As a Registered Music Therapist I have incorporated giving instrumental lessons to people with learning disabilities and mental health issues. As an accompanist I have helped students prepare for AMEB grade exams, B.Mus exams, auditions, eisteddfods and concerts. My studio at Leichhardt is convenient to most Inner -West suburbs.
